What is International Women’s Day:-

International Women’s Day ( IWD ) is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. It is also a focal point in the women’s rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women .

Theme for International Women’s Day 2022:-

The theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March 2022 ( IWD 2022 )is, “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow,” recognizing the contribution of women and girls around the world, who are leading the charge on climate change adaptation, mitigation and response, to build a more sustainable future for all.

It is true – It is a fact

Man is not complete without you

That’s why you are called as better half

CONCLUSION:-

All people of the world are born from the womb of a woman and learn the initial things from a woman only. This is one of the important reason for giving utmost respect to women in life.

Women play very big role in the life of an individual. They also play significant role in the society and contribute a lot. A male is not complete without the companion of a female. Male and female together build a family, society and nation.

Women are considered as fairer sex. They are not treated equal with males even though their contribution is not less than the males.

There are strong women’s rights movements and feminism movements around the world. Still we don’t find equal rights in many parts of the world.

The women rights movements addresses the problems like female infanticide, equal pay, women safety in public places, domestic abuse, child marriage etc.

We also find many strong laws and regulations made to safeguard the interest of women. But they will be of no use until and unless people change their mentality towards women.

To create a better and just society, we have to empower the women and girls and encourage them to showcase their talents.

The International Women’s Day is all about making a difference in the lives of women both locally and globally. Making them confident, self reliant and empowered. Every citizen has to contribute something to encourage the women folk and cooperate and coordinate for a better society.
