ସାରା ବିଶ୍ଵ ରେ ପ୍ରତି ବର୍ଷ 04, January ରେ ବିଶ୍ଵ ବ୍ରେଲ ଦିବସ ପାଳନ କରା ଯାଏ ।

ବିଶ୍ଵ ବ୍ରେଲ ଦିବସ Louis Braille/ ଲୁଇ / ଲୁଇସ ବ୍ରେଲ ଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ଦିନ ରେ ପାଳନ କରା ଯାଏ ।

ଲୁଇ / ଲୁଇସ ବ୍ରେଲ ଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ 4 January 1809 ରେ France ରେ ହୋଇ ଥିଲା ।

ଲୁଇ ବ୍ରେଲ/ ଲୁଇସ ନେତ୍ରହୀନ ଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ବ୍ରେଲ ଲିପି ର ଆବିଷ୍କାର କରି ଥିଲେ ।

ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ମହାସଭା ବିଶ୍ଵ ବ୍ରେଲ ଦିବସ ର ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ 06 November 2018 ରେ ପାରିତ କରି ଥିଲା ।

ବ୍ରେଲ ଏକ ଲେଖନ ପଦ୍ଧତି ଅଟେ , ଏହା ନେତ୍ରହୀନ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ତିଆରି କରା ହୋଇଛି ।

ଏଇ ପଦ୍ଧତି ଲୁଇ ବ୍ରେଲ ଙ୍କ ଦ୍ଵାରା ଆବିଷ୍କାର କରା ହୋଇ ଥିଲା , ତେଣୁ ଏଇ ପଦ୍ଧତି ର ନାମ ଲୁଇ / ଲୁଇସ ବ୍ରେଲ ରଖା ଯାଇଛି ।

ଏଇ ଦିନ ଦିବ୍ୟାଙ୍ଗ ଲୋକ ଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାର ଅଧିନିୟମ , ନେତ୍ର ରୋଗ ବିଷୟ ରେ ଜାଣିବା ବା ଚିହ୍ନିବା ତଥା ରୋକିବା ( रोकथाम ) ଆଉ ପୁନର୍ବାସ ବିଷୟ ରେ ଚର୍ଚା ଓ step ନିଆ ଯାଏ ।

ବିଶ୍ଵ ବ୍ରେଲ ଦିବସ ର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ଦ୍ରୁଷ୍ଟି – ବାଧିତ / ଦ୍ରୁଷ୍ଟିହୀନ ଲୋକ ଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାର , ତାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବା ଆଉ ବ୍ରେଲ ଲିପି କୁ ଆଗେଇ ନେବା ପାଇଁ ସାହାଜ୍ଯ କରିବା ।

ବିଶ୍ଵ ବ୍ରେଲ ଦିବସ କୁ ସଂଚାର ର ସାଧନ ରୂପେ ବ୍ରେଲ ର ମହତ୍ଵ ବିଷୟ ରେ ଜାଗରୁକତା ବଢେଇବା ହେତୁ ପାଳନ କରା ଯାଏ ।
