POEM-1

WE ALL INVITE HAPPINESS

We all invite happiness

Happiness does not need invitation

Happiness is very much selective

It comes to the right home and right person.

We all invite happiness

Happiness does not need invitation

Happiness comes to us

Only after we deal successfully with problems galore

Only when we never think to surrender at all

Under any circumstance or failure.

POEM-2

HAPPINESS NEVER CHANGES IT’S COLOR

Happiness is created by you

Happiness is produced by you

For yourself and others too.

Happiness is created by others

Happiness is produced by others

For themselves,for you

And for others too.

Happiness is never selfish

Happiness believes in honest deal

No difference between black and white

No difference between rich and poor

Happiness is so simple and so pure.

“Wow! Happiness never changes it’s color”

It goes to the deserving

And maintains right timing

Happiness is never late never lazy

It is up to you

How you produce or create happiness

For others and for you.

POEM-3

HAPPINESS AND SORROW

Happiness and sorrow

Time and tide

Are they cousin brothers?

Their activities are very similar

They come and they go.

Happiness and sorrow

Time and tide

They are not very popular

They bother not

But they just do their duty

Nothing else they know.

Happiness and sorrow

Time and tide

Are so punctual

Who ever earns happiness or sorrow

They will reach there, to day or tomorrow.

Happiness and sorrow

Time and tide

They are not very popular

People have allegations

They bother not

Time and tide waits for none

Happiness comes in

But ready to go out any day

Rarely make everybody happy and everyday!

People always say

Sorrow is a tress-passer

It tries to enter into anybody’s house

Sorrow never feel sorry

For giving so much trouble and worry.

People also always say

Happiness is never happy

To last long in any one’s house.

People complain about

Time and tide

They are very much ruthless

They come and go….

Perhaps they only give the addresses of the people

And they are the one who send happiness and sorrow.

Take care of the time

Give due importance to the tide

Do good to yourself

Do good to others

Make this a habit

Make this a ritual

Good deeds will bring you positive results

Happiness and joy will visit your home again and again.

Now, let us read two short stories…

STORY-1

THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

There was once a group of 100 people attending a seminar on personal development.

In the middle of the talk, the speaker stops and decides to run an impromptu group activity. He hands out a balloon to each attendee and tells them to write their name on it.

The balloons are then collected and placed in an adjacent room.

The speaker then instructs the 100 attendees to enter that room and, within 5 short minutes, find the balloon with their name on it.

Pandemonium breaks lose as they charge in pushing and colliding with each other as they desperately search for their name.

The 5 minutes pass and nobody succeeds.

The speaker then tells each person, to pick up any random balloon and give it to the person whose name is written on it. Within a few minutes every one has their balloon back.

He then said, “What just happened with those balloons is exactly what happens in search of happiness. We frantically look for it all around us, not knowing where it is”.

“Yet happiness lies in the happiness of other. By giving them their happiness, you get yours”.

MORAL OF THE STORY

Happiness and fulfillment rarely come from selfish pursuits, but almost always come from doing good deeds for others. By helping others will help ourselves.

STORY-2

SECRET OF HAPPINESS

A wealthy man lived in a city. He was a very big businessman and he was not short of anything but still he was always worried and restless.

One day he went to a Hermitage in a village to meet the sage. The man told his problem to the sage that he has no shortage of any thing but still he is always worried.

The sage heard his problem and said-come tomorrow, I will tell you how to stay happy free of worry.

The man reached the Hermitage of the sage at the same time the next day. He saw that the sage was looking for something outside his Hermitage.

The person said – Guruvar (sage) what are you looking for? May I help you! The sage said – I am looking for my ring, which is lost.

Hearing this, the person also started searching for his ring with the sage. Even after searching for a long time, the ring was not found, then the person asked the sage – where did your ring fell?

The sage said – My ring fell in the hut of the Hermitage, but it is very dark there, so I am looking for the ring outside the Hermitage.

The person asked with surprise – when your ring fell in the hut, why are you looking out here??

The sage said – this is the solution to your problem.

“Happiness is inside you, but you are looking for it in money and foreign goods. The entire sea is inside you, but still you are looking for water outside with a spoon. Money or property is important in life, but happiness can not be bought only with money”.
