  1. ବିଶ୍ଵ କେନ୍ସର ଦିବସ 4 February ଦିନ ସାରା ବିଶ୍ଵ ରେ ପାଳନ କରା ଯାଏ ।
  2. ଏଇ ଦିବସ ର ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ହେଲା , କେନ୍ସର ଦ୍ଵାରା ହେଉଥିବା ରୋଗ ଆଉ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ କୁ କମ କରିବା ।
  3. 2019 – 2021 ପାଇଁ ବିଶ୍ଵ କେନ୍ସର ଦିବସର ବିଷୟ ବା theme ଥିଲା – “I Am And I will” ଥିଲା , ଏଇ ପରି ପ୍ରତ୍ଯେକ ବର୍ଷ ନୂଆ ନୂଆ ବିଷୟ ବା theme ର ଘଷୋଣ। କରା ଯାଏ ।
  4. ଏହାର ସ୍ଥାପନା Union For International Cancer Control ( UICC ) ଦ୍ଵାରା କରା ଯାଇ ଥିଲା ।
  5. କେନ୍ସର ରୋଗ ର ବିଷୟ ରେ ଜାଗରୁକତା ବଢେଇବା , ଏଇ ଦିବସ ର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଅଟେ ।
  6. ଅନେକ ସରକାର , ସଂସ୍ଥା , ସମୁଦାୟ , ବିଶ୍ଵ କେନ୍ସର ଦିବସ ପାଳନ କରନ୍ତି ।
  7. ଏହା ଏକ ମହତ୍ଵପୂର୍ଣ ଦିନ ଓ କେନ୍ସର ବିଷୟ ରେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଜାଣିବା ଦରକାର ।
  8. ଆଜିକାଲି ଅନେକ ପ୍ରକାର ର କେନ୍ସର ରୋଗ ଦେଖା ଯାଉଛି ଓ ଭାରତ ରେ ସବୁଠୁ ଅଧିକ common କେନ୍ସର ହେଲା – lung cancer, breast, cervical, brain, colon rectal କେନ୍ସର ।
  9. ମଦ , ତମ୍ବାଖୁ , ଗୁଟକା, ତଥା ଅନ୍ୟ ନିଶା ଜାତୀୟ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ର ସେବନ କଲେ କେନ୍ସର ରୋଗ ହୁଏ ।
