TREAT EVERYBODY AS YOUR CLASSMATE

If there is no love, no honesty

If there is no affection, no integrity

Surely- we will be the cause

And force this world to be destroyed

Certainly-it will be destroyed

Destroyed one day by almighty.

The power of honesty and love

The power of integrity, compassion and affection

Can surely help this world to progress.

Walk in the path of honesty

Please don’t bring hate

Think everybody to be your classmate

Treat everybody as your family-mate.

STORY-1

HONEST WOODCUTTER RAJU

Once upon a time, there lived a poor woodcutter named Raju. He lived in a small hut on the outskirts of the village. Regularly Raju would go in the forest and chop trees for wood. He sold this wood in the daily market and earned his livelihood. Though Raju was poor, but he was sincere and honest.

One day, while chopping a tree near the river, the ax slipped out of his hand and fell into the river. The river was very deep, he was very much worried, as this was his only ax. The question came, how would he cut wood and earn his livelihood now?

Raju prayed to God for his ax. He prayed so sincerely that God actually appeared before him. When He asked Raju what the problem was, he told Him the whole episode. God, then put his hand into the river and took out a silver ax. The woodcutter saw the ax and said this is not my ax. God continued looking and then brought out a golden ax from the river. Raju, the woodcutter politely said, this is also not mine.

The woodcutter refused to accept the golden ax. For a poor woodcutter, a golden ax meant a lot. But he was so honest that he wanted his iron ax. God finally smiled and pulled out his iron ax. The woodcutter was extremely happy and thanked God for finding his ax.

God was very happy with his honesty. So, he rewarded him by giving him the silver and the golden ax too! The woodcutter was overwhelmed and jumped with joy!

MORAL OF THE STORY….

  • In every situation we should be honest. There is always a possibility that we may be rewarded like Raju, the woodcutter.
  • Honesty is a virtue, one must nurture it.
  • Please believe that Honesty Is The Best Policy.
