Answer 3 – The objectives are
- To provide information about the importance and need of milk in the life of a human being.
- T o raise awareness about milk and various milk products . For this various activities are organized on this day.
- To educate the people about the nutrients that are present in milk like Protein, Calcium, Vitamin B2, Potassium etc.
- To celebrate the contribution of dairy industry/ milk and milk products in economy and how it helps people.
- Various promotional activities are done by the Government and general public to make the above points understood properly by people and appreciate them.
Question 4 – How the World Milk Day is celebrated?
Answer 4 – It is seen that activities like Marathon and family runs are conducted. Farm visits are made and also milking demonstrations are held. Concerts, Conferences and Seminars are also held. School based activities like various types of competitions held focusing on promoting the value of milk and milk industry or dairy industry. The main highlighting point is the role played by dairy industry in the national economy.

MILK ALTERNATIVES
For people who do not like milk or have trouble in digesting dairy milk easily, they all can try other non-dairy milk alternatives. Few popular alternative option available are …
SOYAMILK – This milk alternative is made from Soya bean plants which are available or grown in plenty in many places of the world.
ALMOND MILK- This milk is made by crushing almonds and blending them with water, after this straining out the mix to remove the solids that are left. This milk alternative is full of protein.
COCONUT MILK- Coconut milk is an opaque , milky-white liquid extracted from the grafted pulp of mature coconuts. It is used extensively in the Indian subcontinent. It is helpful in weight loss and improves blood cholesterol level.
OAT MILK- This is made with oats, water and a few other ingredients. This has lesser amount of protein and fat compared to cow milk.

Milk is produced naturally by mammals. It is a natural food source for them. Animals as well as human beings produce milk to feed their young or new born babies until they are ready to eat and digest solid foods.

Milk is first boiled and then drunk. Warm milk is more tasteful and nutritious than the cold milk.
