Where The Mind Is Without Fear is a thought provoking poem in a prayer form by Rabindranath Tagore.It is one of the best poems in the anthology named “Gitanjali”.This was published in 1912. Rabindranath Tagore received the prestigious Nobel Prize for literature for this anthology in 1913.

जहां मन है निर्भय और मस्तक हे ऊंचा
जहां ज्ञान है मुक्त
जहां पृथ्वी विभाजित नहीं हुई है छोटे छोटे खंडों में
संकीर्ण स्वदेशी मानसिकता के दीवारों में
जहाँ शब्द सब निकलते हैं सत्य की गभीरता से
जहाँ अविश्रांत प्रयास उसका हाथ बढ़ा रहा है परिपूर्णता के ओर
जहां स्पष्ट न्याय का झरना खोया नहीं है अपना रास्ता
निर्जन मरुभूमि के मृत्यु जैसा नकारात्मक रेत के अभ्यास में
जहाँ मनको नेतृत्व दे रहे हो तुम
ले जा रहे हो निरंतर विस्तारित विचार और गति के मार्ग को

यह कविता कविगुरु रबीन्द्रनाथ टागोर द्वारा भगवान को प्रार्थना के रूप में लिखा गया है। उनके कविता संकलन गीतांजलि का यह एक अमूल्य कविता है । इस कविता में कविगुरु रबीन्द्रनाथ टागोर पराधीनता के बंधन से मुक्ति पाने के लिए भगवान से प्रार्थना कर रहे हैं । वे ब्रिटिश शासकों के भारतियों के प्रति खराब व्यवहार से व्यथित होकर सर्वमुक्तिदाता भगवान को प्रार्थना करते हुए समस्त देशवासियों को जाग्रत होने के लिए आह्वान किए हैं । उस समय की मांग को देखते हुए उनके द्वारा उत्सर्गीकृत यह कविता बहुत ही प्रभावी और प्रेरणादायी है ।
