Dear Friends,
My poem this time is a prayer to almighty God to bring about happiness, prosperity, equal opportunity to one and all for a better life and to build a great new generation. Therefore along with a poem there are quotes on new generation, next generation and future generation with a story and a thought related to our future generation.
Friends, my idea behind writing this poem is that we also should contribute something to make a difference in the life of others. Doing this we can very well build a new generation which will be better than the generation in which we are living now. Let us enjoy the poem written by me.

Each and everything of this life.

To make our home life fun, frolic and fertile

With discipline, dedication and devotion
Cheer them up! To spread
Love, sympathy and empathy.

This wonderful world! Natural though
Hunger, poverty and jealousy should go
Pure hearts – satisfying love
Should be shared more and more

Should be cared more and more.

Yes – it will be great to preserve

Short Story: “There is no free lunch”
A king called his advisors and asked them to write down the wisdom of the ages so that he could pass it on to the future generations. After a lot of work, the advisors came up with several volumes of wisdom and presented them to the king. The king called his advisors and said that it was too long and that people would not read it. The king told his advisors they would have to condense it.
The advisors went back to work and came back with one volume. The king said it was still too long so they came back again with one chapter; again it was too long. Even one page was too long, said the king. Finally, the Advisors brought back one sentence that satisfied the king. He said that if there was one piece of wisdom that he wanted to pass on to future generations, it would be : “There is no free lunch”.
Basically, “there is no free lunch”, means that you don’t get something for nothing. In other words, you get what you put in. If you don’t put much into a project you won’t get much out of it.
Of course every society has its share of free loaders who are looking for something for nothing.

Thought of an anonymous Writer Topic: “Can We Change the World?”
“When I was young my imagination had no limits, I dreamt of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change. So I shortened my sights and decided to change only my country. But it seemed immovable.
As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing my family, those who are closes to me. But alas! They would have none of it.
And then as I laid on my death bed I realized if I had only changed myself first, then by example I might have changed my family? From their inspiration and enthusiasm then they could change the community who could then change other communities, which could then change the country. If the country could be changed, then the world could be changed.”
The key to changing the world was to make the decision to first change ourselves.
Conclusion
Dear friends, I feel you have enjoyed and understood the spirit, the concern and the wishes for the new generations through my poem and with the help of quotations, a short story, and a thought. I really feel that any generation can be strong, vibrant if we have a positive outlook and contribute something by changing ourselves for the better and encourage others to be disciplined, full of empathy and if required sympathy too. Ultimately we all should understand that there is no free lunch for anybody. Let us all try to do at least some small good things at our level every day , so that many good things will come together to make our community good, society good, nation good, ultimately the world will be good and we all will have a better place in future to live.
